It is often in the darkest, most uncertain moments that we are drawn into the light ~ the light that calls us home to ourselves and to the Divine Source within. For over 40 years, Lynn has walked the Sacred path of healing, piecing together the fragments of her life ~ each broken piece an offering to the transformative power of love. As the creator of Seraphim Stained Glass Studio in Rhode Island, she has turned broken pieces of glass into radiant art, showing us that from the most broken, the most raw ~ beauty can emerge. Her work has always whispered this truth ~ even in our brokenness, there is meaning, there is light, and there is grace.
And then, in 2019, Lynn’s life shattered in a way that changed everything. Retirement at 75 years old ~ a 1,200-mile move toward what was supposed to be a new, exciting chapter. But what followed was a profound cracking open in the silence ~ a grief so deep and so real that even the brightest of days couldn’t touch it. Her beloved family, her roots, the connections that had shaped her ~ each one was left behind. What was meant to be a new beginning quickly felt like an unraveling. Grief, silent but heavy, crept in like a tide ~ quiet, yet all-encompassing. A loss of place. A loss of self. A loss of meaning and purpose.
The deep ache of feeling untethered. A soul adrift. Then, in December of 2024, another storm ~ a cancer diagnosis. A battle fought in quiet spaces, shared only with those closest to her. Everything changed ~ the pieces no longer fit. Yet, even in the deepest storms ~ when the waves threaten to swallow us whole ~ a Divine intelligence and our soul is always calling us. Beckoning us home ~ back to ourselves, back to grace. In the midst of her grief, Lynn found healing in the whispers of the sea ~ gifts of sea glass, shells, and fragments worn and shaped by time. These were not just treasures of the earth ~ they were messages from the Divine, reminders that even in the broken places, there is so much beauty. Even after the fiercest storms, the sea softens us and brings us back to the shore ~ whole and transformed.
This became Gifts From the Sea ~ a tribute to the Sacred truth that life’s challenges do not break us ~ they shape us, they refine us, they lead us back to the light within. And so, from the depths of grief, Lynn’s art emerged ~ not just as beauty, but as a testament to resilience, to transformation, to the divine wisdom found in even the most difficult moments.
